Nice one. I think the same about it to some degree. Although I wouldn't call me a pacifist, I'm a peace loving person and believe that nothing good comes out of wars most of the time. Politically I'd say I'm public-minded. (Hope that it's a right word. I think the whole society has a responsibility to care about socially disadvantaged people etc. I believe in equality and opportunity etc. )
But when it comes to gaming, I like to shoot and I like to win ! I enjoy to be in an interactive multi-player action movie. I can imagine to play both, good or bad character.
I remember in Neocron my clanmates and me always pushed 'diplomatic' conflicts to the limit, because it was just cool to have a lot 'plasma' in the air, until either all enemies were dead or your gang. Got a lot of GM talks, because of that. 
But it was just too much fun to stop it completely. So we were always walking on a thin line.
RL:
Job: I'm at university and studying computer science. Have learnt/worked in another technical job before.
Sports: When I do it, I give it all. Either against an opponent or against myself. That's fun.
Else: Maybe I'm a geek now, but wasn't always. Several years ago we've been driving from disco to disco, been on open airs and concerts a lot with my mates, some of them had a band.
Were quite funny days, still remember things like stage-diving (how much fun it was, until I hit the concrete floor) ... or smuggling a camera in my trousers to make some shots of the concert that resulted in a strange reaction of a girl at the security check (no, she didn't find the camera, she just said 'Ooh' and stopped conrolling me and waved me through.  .) Or getting the number plate of my car torn off, because we used it as a bottle opener and wasn't as good attached as we thought ... I better stop.
We don't do that anymore, I play EVE, relax more, read something etc., I'm a lot more serious, except when I play games and want to have fun I guess.
